"Year of birth: 1965. Alexei Mordashov has been with Severstal since 1988. He began his career as a senior economist, in 1992 became director of finance and economics. In December 1996 he was appointed General Director of Severstal. From 2002 to 2006 he held the post of General Director of ZAO Severstal Groupand was elected to the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of OAO Severstal. From December 2006 to December 2014 he was the General Director of OAO Severstal. From December 2014 to May 2015, Alexey Mordashov was the General Director of JSC Severstal Management, the managing organization of PJSC Severstal. May 26, 2015 was elected to the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Severstal. President (since June 2013), member of the Supervisory Board (since June 2010) of the non-commercial partnership ""Russian Steel Consortium"". Chairman (October 2012-October 2013), Vice-Chairman (from October 2013) of the World Steel Manufacturers Association , headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. Head of the Committee on Integration, Trade and CustomsPolitics and WTO of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). He is a member of the Council on Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship under the Government of the Russian Federation. Co-chairman of the Group ""Trade as a Growth Factor"" of the ""Business Twenties"" (B20) of the ""Group of Twenty"" (G20). Co-chairman of the Business Council of the Northern Dimension. Vice President of the Russian-German Foreign Trade Chamber, member of the Russian-German Working Group on Strategic Issues in Economics and Finance. He is a member of the Business Council of Russia and the EU. Alexey Mordashov graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Engineering and Economics , holds an MBA from the Business School of the University of Northumbria in Newcastle (Great Britain). He is an honorary doctor of science at St. Petersburg University of Engineering and Economics (since 2001) and University of Northumbria, Great Britain (since 2003)."
