Biography
Vladimir Kozlov was born in 1960 in Moscow. He served in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 25 years, starting his career as a criminal investigator and rising to the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. From March 1997 to August 1998 he headed up the organized crime investigation department of the Federal Tax Police Service in Moscow. He has the rank of a police lieutenant-general, he is a Doctor of Law and an honorary professor at the Moscow State Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In January 2002 he was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Security of Severstal. Vladimir Kozlov has been awarded numerous prestigious honors in Russia and Poland.
