Biography
Mr. Olivier Merkt is Senior Vice President, Legal & Compliance at SGS Ltd since 2016. Previously he was Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel and Company Secretary of SGS SA since August 2008 till 2015. He served as Vice President, Corporate Development at the Company from 2006 till 2008. He joined the Company as in-house Senior Counsel in 2001. Prior to joining the Company, he was active in private practices, ultimately with Ernst & Young Legal in Geneva, Switzerland, where he served from 1993 till 2001. He holds a Doctorate degree in Law from Universite of Neuchatel Switzerland and a Master of Legal Letters degree from Cambridge University.
