Biography
Mr. Malcolm Reid has been Chief Operating Officer, South Eastern Asia & Pacific at SGS Ltd since October 2015. Previously he served as Executive Vice President, Consumer Testing Services at SGS SA since January 2012 till 2015. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, Systems & Services Certification at the Company from 2007. He joined the Company in 1987. From 2005 till 2007, he served as Managing Director, Australia. From 2000 till 2005, he was Managing Director, Thailand. From 1997 till 2000, he acted as Managing Director, Philippines. In 1994, he was appointed Operations Director in Hong Kong, then Regional Manager for Eastern China based in Shanghai. After an initial period in the Middle East, Switzerland and Japan, he took over the position of General Manager for Vietnam in 1992. He has been also Member of the Board of IIOC (Independent International Organization for Certification) since 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from University of Glasgow obtained in 1985.
