Biography
Arsen graduated in Biology from Yerevan State University in 1983, and defended his Candidate of Science degree in Genetics at the Koltsov Institute of Developmental Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1998. Arsen has exceptional experience with modern molecular and cell biology techniques required for success of the suggested research project, specifically in the field of hepatocellular carcinoma. Arsen has obtained extensive international experience while working at the National Cancer Institute (USA), Johns Hopkins University (USA) and University of Chicago (USA)). For the last several years Arsen has been leading his own research group within Laboratory of Regeneration at the Institute of Developmental Biology where he will keep his job while also working part-time at Skoltech.
Research Interest
The role of ubiquitin proteasome system in liver cancer progression: the main purpose of this project is to validate ubiquitin ligases of the N-end rule pathway as new targets for anti-cancer therapy.
