Biography
Dmitry graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, in 2008, and from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics, Moscow State University, in 2012. From 2009 till 2012, he was working as Junior Research scientist in the field of systems pharmacology modeling at the Institute for Systems Biology in Moscow. He was involved in the theoretical investigations, particularly, mathematical modeling of complex biochemical and pharmacological systems. His research focused on studies of long-term pharmacodynamic (PD) effects initiated by the administration of 5-lipoxygenase inhibitors in asthmatic patients. From 2012 till 2016, Dmitry was doing Ph.D studies in the Laboratory of Computational Biology at the University of Leuven in Belgium. His research focused on the application of computational methods to uncover cis-regulatory logic encoded in the human genome. In 2016, he defended his thesis “Identification of cis-regulatory modules and non-coding variation using machine learning methods” and obtained his Ph.D degree in Biomedical Sciences.
