Biography
Dr. Ivan Pshenichnyuk received his degree in theoretical physics from Charles University in Prague in 2010. PhD thesis titled “Interaction of electrons with vibrating molecules: molecular electronics applications” was written in the group of Prof. Jiri Horacek under supervision of Dr. Martin Cizek. In 2011 – 2013 he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nurnberg together with Prof. Michael Thoss, where he performed theoretical studies of conductive properties of graphene nanocontacts and influence of graphene edge states on charge transport through molecule-graphene nanojunctions. In 2013-2014 he worked in Rosneft company doing an innovative project in the field of nonlinear percolation and chemical osmosis. Ivan Pshenichnyuk has a broad spectrum of research interests in condensed matter physics: nonequilibrium processes in molecular systems, charge transport through single molecules, electron-phonon and electron-electron interactions in molecular bridges, electronic properties of graphene, molecular electronics, superfluid helium, Bose condensation. Currently, he is working in the group of Prof. Natalia Berloff to study the quantum turbulence at non-zero temperatures.

Ivan Pshenichnyuk has a broad spectrum of research interests in condensed matter physics: nonequilibrium processes in molecular systems, charge transport through single molecules, electron-phonon and electron-electron interactions in molecular bridges, electronic properties of graphene, molecular electronics, superfluid helium, Bose condensation.
