Biography
Dr Sivasankaran gained his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Anna University in India. Soon after he started working in Chettinad Cements Corporation and KCC – Paints (Korean Company) in Hyundai (car) automotive private limited. Due to his interest in electric vehicles and renewable energy, he applied for Master’s studies and was awarded Erasmus Mundus Fellowship from European Union in 2008-2010, through which he obtained his Master’s degree in Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion from a consortium of universities in France, Poland and Spain. He was affiliated with 7 universities across Europe during his Master’s studies. His Master’s thesis focused on li-ion batteries anode materials. Later, Visweshwar received fellowship from the regional government of Bourgogne and Franche-Comte in France to pursue his PhD. His received the PhD degree from Universite de Bourgogne in collaboration with Universite de Franche-Comte France, DLR-German Aerospace center Stuttgart, Germany, and Fiaxell SOFC technologies, Switzerland in 2014. His PhD studies focused on manufacturing, characterization and degradation of IT-SOFC for APU in transportation application. His PhD research resulted in French and international patents. He also published in high impact factor journals and attended 5 international conferences in USA, Canada, Germany and France. More papers are expected to be published soon. For some time Dr Sivasankaran was working as a technical consultant for Fiaxell SOFC technologies and then he joined in IIT-Roorkee center of nanotechnology as a research associate.
