Biography
1975: Graduated from the Credit and Economic Faculty of the Moscow Financial Institute. Speaks English. Awarded the title of Merited Economist of the Russian Federation by the Presidential Decree of 13 July 2003. Awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland (4th degree). 1975–1988: Economist, chief economist with the Planning and Economic Division of the State Bank of the USSR (Gosbank). 1988–1992: Chief economist, section head of the Gosbank Planning and Banking Co-ordination Division. 1992–1993: Head of the Economic Analysis and Banking Regulation Division of the Bank of Russia Banking Regulation Department. 1993–1995: Deputy Director of the Bank of Russia Banking Supervision Department. From April 1995: Director of the Bank of Russia General Economic Department. From June 2013: Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia — Director, General Economic Department. From February 1, 2017: Adviser to the Governor of the Bank of Russia. Member of the Bank of Russia Board of Directors (since 18 October 2013).
