Biography
1976: Graduated cum laude from the N. A. Voznesensky Leningrad Financial and Economic Institute (finance and credit). Doctor of Sciences (Economics). Awarded the Medal for Labour Merit in 1986, the Badge of Distinguished Worker of Gosbank in 1987, Bank of Russia Honorary Diploma in 2000, the Medal for the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg in 2003, the Order of Merit for the Fatherland (4th degree) in 2008. Awarded the title of Merited Economist of the Russian Federation in 2003, and the title of Distinguished Worker of the Bank of Russia in 2011. 1976–1988: Economist, senior economist, deputy head, head of the credit section of the Leningrad City Branch of the State Bank of the USSR (Gosbank). 1988–1990: Deputy head of division and head of the money circulation section of the Leningrad City Branch of Gosbank. 1990–1991: Head of the Money Turnover Regulation and Cash Issue Division of the Leningrad Branch of the Central Bank. 1991–1996: Deputy head, First deputy head of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Bank of Russia. From 1996: Head of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Bank of Russia. From 15 May 2014: Head of the North-Western Main Branch of the Bank of Russia. Member of the Bank of Russia Board of Directors (since 18 October 2013).
