Maxim Balashov has been in charge of Natural monopolies relations since October 2012. He is responsible for developing and implementation of the Company’s strategy, cost optimisation and efficiency improvement in energy supply and railway transportation. 2010-2012 Head of Power Supply Unit, Industry and Infrastructure Department, Russian Government Office. 2008-2010 Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department, Ministry of Energy in the Russian Federation. 2004-2008 Deputy Head of the Department for structural and investment policy for industry and energy with the Ministry of Industry and Energy of Russian Federation. 2002-2004 Head of Electrical energy Unit, Department of natural monopolies restructuring with the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation. 2000-2002 Leading Specialist, Senior Specialist, Consultant, Unit of Power Supply and Industry, Property Department with the Ministry of Property of the Russian Federation. 1994-1999 CFO, Asia Trading House. 1993-1994 Sales Director, Garant.
