Biography
Robert McDonough was named President, UTC Climate, Controls & Security, in September 2015. Previously he served as Chief Operating Officer, Americas, for UTC Building & Industrial Systems, leading the company’s HVAC, elevator, fire, security, building automation and field services businesses in North and South America. McDonough​ has more than 30 years of experience in general management, sales and marketing. In his eight years at United Technologies, he has served as Chief Operating Officer, UTC Climate, Controls & Security, in the Americas; President, UTC Climate, Controls & Security, in the Americas; President, Residential & Light Commercial Systems for Carrier Corp.; and President, Distribution and Aftermarket, Residential & Light Commercial Systems, for Carrier Corp. Before joining UTC, McDonough spent 16 years with Lennox International, where he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Worldwide Heating & Cooling as well as Executive Vice President of Lennox International. Previously he was President, Worldwide Refrigeration and International Operations.​​
