Research Interest
Our research has focused primarily on surface modified electrodes. Our primary surface derivatisation materials being Electronically Conducting Polymers, Clay montmorillonites and Chemical substances whose redox properties are under investigation. We have tailored these surface modified electrodes to study various electrochemical phenomena such charge transport characteristics, solvent content, ion population, role as electrocatalysts and formation of composite/ bilayer structures. We have also used surface modified electrodes as analytical tools for use in the quantification of redox active species in soil, water and pharmaceutical drugs. Presently we are applying the principle of electrode surface modification to develop high energy, high recyclability battery cells.
