Biography
He was born in 1954 in Novosibirsk. In 1977 he graduated from Novosibirsk State University with a degree in economics and mathematics. From 1977 to the present time he works at the Institute of Economics and Industrial Engineering of the SB RAS (IEEPP SB RAS). Since 2009, he is the head of the Center for Resource Economics, Director of the IEEP of the SB RAS for scientific work. Since 2010 - the editor-in-chief of the All-Russian Economic Journal "ECO". Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Energy and Commodity Markets at the National Research University "Higher School of Economics." Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Sphere of scientific interests: economic problems of functioning and development of oil and gas sector. Member of the Expert Council of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Nature Management and Ecology, member of the Expert Council for the Arctic under the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, and others. Laureate of the grant of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Russian Science "Best Economists of the Russian Academy of Sciences".
