Biography

Dr. Wencke du Plessis joined Ross University in 2010. She was born and raised in Berlin, Germany, where she qualified as a veterinarian at the Free University of Berlin. A scholarship enabled her to obtain her German doctoral dissertation (Dr. med. vet.) in South Africa, where she also continued her specialization and became a South African [MMedVet(Diagnostic Imaging)] & European imaging specialist (DipECVDI) in 2003. She worked as Associate Professor in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Pretoria as well as in private practice. Her interests include computer based testing, interactive teaching, diagnostic imaging of exotics/wildlife, ultrasound, CT and MRI.
