Biography
Mary Beth Berkes is a Co-Founding Partner of Linden Capital Partners, a middle market healthcare private equity firm headquartered in Chicago, IL. Ms. Berkes has been involved in healthcare for over 30 years with a focus on medical devices, healthcare services, and the pharmaceutical industry. She has significant governance experience on Boards of Directors of healthcare companies and organizations, and Chair of Audit, Compensation and Organizational Development Committees. She also served on the Limited Partner and Investment Committees at Linden. Prior to founding Linden, she spent 18 years as a senior executive at Bristol-Myers Squibb in the ConvaTec division, a $1.8billion medical device company. She has held senior positions domestically and internationally in general management, marketing, sales mergers and acquisitions, and operations. At ConvaTec, Ms. Berkes led turnarounds of many operations globally and held senior positions where she successfully drove strategic re-alignment and operational transformations. Previously, she worked in cancer and antibiotic research at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Currently, Ms. Berkes serves on the Board of Directors of SteadMed Inc. and Somna Therapeutics, and she is the Chairman of the Alverno Board of Trustees. Ms. Berkes received a B.S.N. from Alverno College and an M.B.A. from Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University. She lives in Shorewood, WI with her husband, Jim.
