Biography
PhD in Clinical Medicine from the University of Oxford (UK), focusing on the Molecular Genetics of Autism. Inês worked for the last 11 years in the Human Genetics and Genomics fields, having most recently worked on a project to study Genetics and Genomics of Primary Spontaneous Pneumothorax and also focusing on the mitochondrial genome of several paediatrics and pulmonary disorders. During this time, Inês has also been awarded the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science (2012) and Prémio Robalo Cordeiro (2013).
