Ghada Ahmad Fawzy Garaween

Biography

Ghada Garaween is a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in the College of medicine at Alfaisal University. She is currently facilitating problem based Learning (PBL) for the third year Medical Students. Also gives teaching sessions in Microbiology & Immunology Labs., She graduated with BSc from College of Science King Abdullaziz University from Jeddah. Later she proceeded and completed a Masters of Biomedical Science in Molecular and Cell Biology. She has over 18 years’ experience in running clinical diagnostic laboratories. Her experience includes Clinical Microbiology & Infectious diseases, Clinical Biochemistry and Haematology. She is involved in preparing the Microbiology practical laboratory sessions for students in the College of Medicine. She currently contributes to the research activities in the department and her expertise includes PCR, Diversilab (rep-PCR for microbial genotyping) and Checkpoints DNA Microarray for detection of antibiotic resistance genes. She is currently starting her PhD in Friedrich-Schiller-University – Jena – Germany.
