Biography
Dr. Hana Fakhoury Hajeer graduated from the American University of Beirut in 1992. Thereafter, she joined the College of Medicine at the University of Manchester for her postgraduate studies. In 1998 she completed her PhD in biochemistry and started her postdoctoral training at the same University. In the year 2000, she was promoted to a senior postdoctoral fellow working on the genetic predisposition to radiotherapy induced fibrosis in breast cancer patients. In 2002 she joined King Saud bin Abdul Aziz University for Health Science as the founding chairman of the Basic Sciences Department of the College of Nursing. In the year 2009, she moved to the College of Medicine where she was promoted in 2012 to associate professor of biochemistry. Dr. Fakhoury supervised many research projects most of them published or in the process of publications. Recently she joined Al Faisal University as associate professor of biochemistry at the College of Medicine.
