Biography

Member of the European society of Hypertension since, June, 2009 Member of the Artery society "the association for research into arterial structure and physiology", since January 2009 Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK, since February 2008 • A teaching experience of 6 years to medical, clinical pharmacy, applied medical sciences, and nursing students in Dammam University, Princess Nora bint Abdulrahman, as well as Alfaisal University. Also, participated in teaching pharmacology to postgraduate nursing students, in Higher Diploma in "Midwifery" and "Intensive care". • An administrative experience of almost 4 years as Vice Dean for Students Affairs in University of Dammam • Current research interest is in cardiovascular risk factors in general and arterial stiffness and endothelial dysfunction, specifically. Arterial stiffness is now recognized as an independent cardiovascular risk factor, and with the development of SphygmoCardiography technique, it became feasible to assess it in different populations, and in a non-invasive manner.
