Biography

Dr. Tanveer A. Khan is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Jouf University. He is highly motivated, organized, and self-driven individual who is devoted towards becoming a qualified and compassionate researcher and academician. He has a strong academic foundation with a keen interest in academia through pharmaceutical education and research. He has an extensive exposure to the pharmaceutical industries, regulatory affairs and academic environments. He has an ample experiences of working in an accredited, cGMP and regulatory drug laboratory with the FDA, and Health Canada. He collaborates with researchers and scientists from diverse disciplines ranging from medical, polymer chemistry and engineering. He has been embarked in trans-disciplinary collaborative research with teaching hospitals and universities. Dr. Khan is an award winning educator and researcher. He is the recipient of numerous award including: International Travel Grant Award for Young Scientists by the Board of Pharmaceutical Sciences, International Pharmaceutical Federation, Netherland (2007). He is the winner of the Silver Medal at The World Exhibition of Invention, Research and Industrial Innovation, Belgium (2007). He is Winner of the International Islamic University, “IIUM Quality Research Award/Gold Medal", Malaysia (2007). Dr. Khan has awarded Faculty of Pharmacy's Teacher of the Year award on various separate occasions including “Most Committed Lecturer Award” Faculty of Pharmacy, IIUM, Malaysia (2007) as well as an "Outstanding and Distinguished faculty member service award, King Faisal University (2011). He has published over 25 peer-reviewed research articles and has an extensive record of invited presentations at international meetings. He is serving as an Editorial board member, acted as a reviewers for various pharmacy journals, and external examiner for Ph.D. thesis. Dr Khan main interests and current research activities including: the development of pharmaceutical gel using Olive oil and the formulation and evaluation of soft gelatin capsules from Halal sources. Preparation and evaluation of microspheres for targeting to lung as well as designing of oral mucoadhesive microspheres of new antiglycemic drug.
