Biography

 Alaa Salah Omar Abdul Jabbar is currently Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, Section of Colorectal Surgery; Deputy Chairman, Department of Surgery; Director, Colorectal Surgery Fellowship Training Program; Chairman, Fellowship Training Program, Department of Surgery and Associate Professor at Alfaisal University, Saudi Arabia. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) (May 1986) and was certified by Arab Board in Surgery (ABIS) equivalent to Saudi Board (December 1993) from King Saud University, College of Medicine, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was certified as Subspecialty in Colorectal Surgery (March 1999), employed in hospital training grade posts forming a rotation undertaken as part of the ODTS in Surgery and approved by The Royal College of Surgeons of England and The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland. He has been a member of several association including Saudi Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain & Ireland, and so on. He is an researcher and has published more than 30 articles.
