Daniela Elena Gherissi

Biography

Daniela Elena Gherissi is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in the College of medicine. She is a licensed MD from Romania, her specialty being Allergy and Clinical Immunology. She did her residency training in Romania and France, where she also worked as an allergist in Nancy University Hospital and was involved in clinical research in fields like food allergy and respiratory allergy, and participated in undergraduate professional skills teaching. Her research interests are allergic and atopic diseases (asthma, rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, urticaria) with special interest in food allergy. She is currently involved in PBL tutoring, PBL developing and Laboratory teaching sessions in Microbiology and Immunology.
