Biography
Faisal Samad Lodi is a Lecturer in the Department of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering, Alfaisal University, Saudi Arabia. He teaches courses in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering. He currently teaches courses namely, Machine Design, Introduction to CAD, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing and Workshop Training, Production and Service Systems analysis and Quality Engineering. He has a Master's degree by research in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, from the University of Melbourne, Australia. His Master's Thesis is in the area of automotive engine development (Ford in-line, 6 cylinder, 4 stroke, gasoline engine), a research conducted for Ford Motor Company, Australia in the University of Melbourne. He has primarily worked in the field of Research and Development in the automotive industry in Australia, including ACART (Joint Research Facility run by Ford Motor Company, Australia and University of Melbourne, Australia), gaining experience in the industry as well as in academics. His main research interest is in the areas of automotive engine development, fuel consumption and emissions reduction, liquid - metal heat transfer, analytical and conduction heat transfer and design of heat exchangers. He is a certified Internal Auditor TS16949-2009 from EQIS Australia.
