Biography
Dr. Hayat Khan graduated with a PhD from the University of Melbourne. He has been working at La Trobe University since 2005 after completion of his PhD. Dr. Khan has won numerous academic awards including Kilmany Prize for outstanding performance in PhD coursework, a Gold Medal in MSc Economics, and teaching awards for teaching innovations and outstanding contribution to student learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at La Trobe University. He co-designed the award winning Master of Islamic Banking and Finance and Islamic Finance Professional Development Program at La Trobe University and acted as director of the program for two years. Dr. Khan’s current research focuses on theoretical underpinning of Islamic economics and finance, corporate governance and behavioural economics/finance. He has produced high quality research on theoretical and empirical issues related to economics and finance, Islamic finance in particular”
