Mario A. Ferrer

Biography

Dr. Mario Ferrer is the Chair of the Operations and Project Management Department and an Assistant Professor in Operations Management in the College of Business. He teaches courses in logistics and supply chain management, operations management, and quality management. His PhD in Supply chain management is from CQ University in Queensland Australia. Dr Ferrer graduated with a BSc in Industrial Engineering UN, and MBA in e-business (with Distinction) from Central Queensland University Australia. His current research focuses on product and service supply chain practices in emerging economies. He has been an active member of the European continuous innovation network (CInet), the Australian Logistics Association (LAA), Chartered Instituted of Logistics and Transportation (CILT) and Intellectbase consortium. Dr. Ferrer has been an invited reviewer for conferences such as the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM), Intellectbase, CInet and Latin American and Caribbean Engineering institutions (LACCEI) as well as for Journals such as the International Journal of Technology Management. He is the author of one textbook and has published more than 50 academic articles, as well as producing technical reports for several organizations in Australia and Colombia. The first edition of his recent book, Building supply chain Relationships: An exploration of the predictive relational factors and benefits was published in November 2011.
