Biography
Professor Fakhoury, is a professor of Medical Biochemistry and the head of the Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine Department. She received her PhD in Medical Biochemistry from the college of Medicine at Manchester University. Her research interest is in the field of Genetic studies to find correlations between a disease and a genetic change where there is no obvious pattern of inheritance; And in the pharmacogenetic studies to determine if there is a genetic basis for certain adverse reactions to drugs. She has more than 30 publications in this field.
