Biography
Ahmed Abd El Aziz is born in Alexandria, Egypt. He obtained his BSc degree in Electronics and Communications department at Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport, (AAST) in 2003. He was then appointed as a teaching assistant at the same university. He received his MSc degree from same university, in 2006. He then joined Optical Communication Research Group (OCRG) at Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK and achieved his Ph. D degree in 2012. At the same year he joined Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport, (AAST) as a lecturer and in 2013 he founded the Photonic Research Laboratory (PRL). He is supervising a number of research students in Egypt and UK and has published over 25 papers. He is a reviewer for a number of IEEE and IET conferences and journals.
