Biography

Prof. NINA FEDOROFF Specializes in e molecular mechanisms of microRNA precursor processing and genetic and epigenetic regulation of transposon activity. She is working as Professor in Department of BioScience, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia.

Research Interest

​Professor Fedoroff’s research interests include the molecular mechanisms of microRNA precursor processing and genetic and epigenetic regulation of transposon activity. Other research interests include novel approaches to the genetic modification of plants; biological approaches, including the use of transgenics for insect pest control; genetic modification of crop plants to increase heat and salt tolerance; the domestication of halophytes; and the design and improvement of integrated agriculture and aquaculture.
