Biography
Dr Hesham Suleiman Alyousef is an assistant professor at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts, King Saud University. He holds degrees in Applied Linguistics (PhD, University of Adelaide, Australia)/ (MA, University of King Saud) and in Languages and Translation (BA, College of Languages and Translation, Imam Mohammad bin Saud University). He published a number of papers in refereed journals and journals listed in ISI. Dr Hesham is interested in discourse analysis, multimodality, academic literacies research, metadiscourse, systemic functional linguistics (SFL), reading comprehension, syllabus design and evaluation, applied linguistics, the use of Web 2.0 technology in higher education, and translation theory. Dr Hesham worked as an MA theses examiner during his PhD candidature and as an academic editor for the Asian ESP Journal (AESPJ), February 2012 to December 2013. Dr Hesham has over 25 years of experience in teaching ESL/EFL. He is currently working on a number of papers and research projects.
