Biography
"Dr. Rukhsana Gul has recently been appointed as an Assistant Professor at Obesity Research Center (ORC), College of Medicine, King Saud University, KSA. Prior to joining ORC, Dr. Gul was working as a Postdoctoral fellow in Diabetes Research center, School of Medicine, University of Missouri, Columbia-MO, USA. She has a long-standing interest in the signaling mechanisms activated by the peptide hormone Angiotensin II (Ang II) in normal development and cardiovascular pathology. Her research has taken a new direction recently with the emphasis on understanding the role of different microRNA’s in cardiovascular pathology. Her recent studies in Diabetes Research center, at the University of Missouri have unraveled a novel role of Nebivolol, a 3rd generation beta adrenergic receptor blocker"
