Biography
Dr. Yahya is an assistant professor at the Electrical Engineering Department. He completed his PhD in 1992 from Georgia Institute of Technology (Ga Tech). His major area of study was semiconductor devices and applied electronics. Dr. Yahya previously served on the faculties of KFUPM, KSA (94-98); Tuskegee Univ., USA (99-2000) and Sharjah Univ., UAE (2003-2009). He taught more than twelve graduate and undergraduate courses and developed several courses and laboratories.
Research Interest
Low power smart sensor circuits and Wireless Sensor Networks, Performance monitoring of optical communication networks; Performance monitoring and optimization of solar PV power systems; Powering Methods for sensors and mobile devices based on solar, optical and RF.
