Walid H. Zabeery

Biography

Walid was appointed VP of Business and Services for Sadara in August 2012. In this role, he is responsible for four main functions, namely, Information Technology, Procurement, Site Logistics and Commercial. Walid also serves as Chairman of the Sadara Recruitment Committee and is the Engagement Lead for Third Party agreements with the Jubail Royal Commission, Saudi Rail, King Fahad Industrial Port, Jubail Commercial Port, and other major Sadara stakeholders in Jubail. Previously, Walid has held a number of managerial positions in Saudi Aramco including that of Manager Support Services Applications Department, Manager Corporate Applications Department, Manager Information Protection and Technology Planning, and Manager Materials Planning and Systems Department. He started his professional career with Saudi Aramco in 1987, where he led a number of critical IT projects for major organizations in Saudi Aramco including Domestic Sales and Distribution, Plant Maintenance, Finance, Healthcare, Project Management, Training & Career Development and others. Walid holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Western Michigan University, and successfully completed the London Business School’s Executive Development Program.
