Biography
George Montague joined Smiths Medical in September 2015, and serves as the company’s CFO and VP of Finance. Prior to Smiths he was Senior Vice President, Sales and Service Finance for Cisco Systems where he provided financial leadership and oversaw Finance functions for the global sales organization, Services business and captive-finance company. Prior to Cisco, George spent 11 years with Medtronic, where he served in different management roles of increasing responsibility, including as group CFO directing finance, strategy and business development activities of a global operating group that included Medtronic’s Spine, Neuromodulation, Diabetes, Surgical Technologies and Kanghui business units. Earlier in his career George spent time building foundational expertise in strategic and financial planning, business development, IT systems analysis, treasury, audit, tax, and controllership with Hughes Electronics, Black & Decker, Apple and KPMG in progressively senior roles.
