Abdulrahman Musaiger

Biography

Professor Abdulrahman Musaiger is the head of Arab Center for Nutrition, Bahrain and Professor of Nutrition and Public Health, University of Bahrain and head of Nutrition and Health Unit, Deanship of Scientific Research, University of Bahrain, Bahrain. He is also the head of Arab Task Force for Obesity and Physical Activity, Bahrain. He has a BSc in Food Science, Master and Doctorate in Public Health Science, majoring Nutrition. He is interested in the research on public health nutrition and risk factors associated with non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. He published more than 180 papers in regional and international journals on nutrition in the Middle East countries. He is an author/editor of more than 80 books on food and nutrition (educational, proceedings and textbook).He is the editor and founder of Arabic Encyclopedia of Food and Nutrition, 2009.He worked as a short term consultant for several international and private organizations.
