Biography
Mr. Lars Einar Förberg co-founded Cevian Capital AB (also known as, Amaranth Capital) in 2002 and serves as its Managing Partner. Mr. Förberg serves as Managing Partner of Cevian Capital AG, an investment adviser to the Cevian Capital II G.P. Ltd. From 1997 to 2001, he served as the Chief Investment Officer at Custos AB. He joined AB Custos in 1997. He has Extensive board and investment experience across multiple industries (including financial services) and geographies, in particular with companies managing strategic, operational and organisational change. From 1990 to 1997, he was a Partner and served as an Investment Manager at Nordic Capital. He served as the Chairman of Andvord Tybring-Gjedde ASA. He serves as Director of Cevian Capital AG, Cevian Capital Ltd and Panalpina Welttransport (Holding) AG. He has been Director of ABB Ltd since April 14, 2017. He serves as a Director of AB Volvo. He serves as Member of Nomination Board at Metso Corp. He served as a Director at Panalpina World Transport Holding Ltd. from May 10, 2011 to May 15, 2013. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Alent plc since October 31, 2012 until December 1, 2015. He served as a Member of Nomination Board of Tieto Oyj. He served as a Director of Danske Bank A/S from March 18, 2013 to March 17, 2016. He served as a Director of Intrum Justitia AB from August 17, 2004 to March 31, 2011. He served as a Director of AB Lindex from December 7, 2004 to December 19, 2006. Mr. Förberg holds an M.Sc. degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics, including studies at the University of Michigan. He holds 2nd year of MBA program from University of Michigan, USA in 1990.
