Robert Muharremi

Biography

Robert Muharremi has extensive experience with the development of rule of law and security institutions in post-conflict Kosovo where he has worked with different international organizations and local institutions for more than ten years. He has organized and trained members of various legal departments, including that of the Parliament of Kosovo, he advised two Prime Ministers of Kosovo, various Ministers and Parliamentarians on legal and institutional issues, and he has actively participated in numerous legislative drafting activities (including the drafting of the Law on Classification of Information and Security Clearances, secondary legislation of the Kosovo Security Council, Law and rules and procedures of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo). Robert was also involved in the drafting of the first security strategy of Kosovo. He is a trainer with the Kosovo Bar Association and a listed arbitrator with the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo. Robert Muharremi is lecturer of public international law and public law at the European School of Law and Governance in Prishtina/Kosovo and he is adjunct instructor in public policy at the American University in Kosovo. He was awarded a doctorate in law by the University of Saarland (Germany) and a M.Sc. in public policy and management by the University of London/ School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
