Ng Sweng Weng

Biography

 Dr Ng is a consultant plastic surgeon with a strong interest in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. His surgical techniques have a strong Korean influence especially in blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, facelift and breast augmentation. He also sub-specialises in reconstructive microsurgery and lymphedema.   Apart from clinical work, he is also involved in the training of doctors and residents as a visiting consultant in Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He was an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He has published and presented on various plastic surgical topics in North America, Europe and several parts of Asia. He had also presented and demonstrated techniques of fat grafting to local surgeons in a workshop along with a renowned expert from Korea.

Research Interest

 Dr Ng graduated from the medical faculty of the National University of Singapore and pursued several postgraduate diploma programs, two of which were in Dermatology. He subsequently completed his advanced surgical training in Plastic Surgery at the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the SGH. Thereafter, he was awarded the Human Manpower Development Programme Scholarship (HMDP) by the Ministry of Health and became the first plastic surgeon from SGH to undergo one-year intensive training in Plastic Surgery in Seoul, South Korea. During the fellowship programme in Seoul, he had numerous opportunities to work with world-renowned top Korean plastic surgeons.
