Mr. William Liu

Biography

Mr. William Liu, also known as Bill, serves as the Chairman and Managing Director at Stream Global Pte Ltd. Mr. Liu serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of ABACUS International, Asia's premier Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and Computer Reservations Systems (CRS), and a joint venture company with Sabre, Inc of USA. He was responsible for ABACUS' operations and profitable growth that span 20 countries in the Asia Pacific. Mr. Liu represented ABACUS on the Board of INFINI, the joint venture CRS of ABACUS Japan. Prior to joining ABACUS, he worked for a major multi-national computer manufacturer International Computers Ltd (ICL) and also served as General Manager of ICL Taiwan in 1992. Mr. Liu is the Chairman of W3 Infocomm Group Pte Ltd, an investment holding company. He is a Board member of SISTIC.Com Pte Ltd, National Library Board and Monte Jade Singapore, Payment Link Singapore Pte Ltd. Mr. Liu was the Co-chairman of the Singapore British Business Council IT/Software Sub-Committee and the Chairman of the Singapore IT Dispute Resolution Advisory Committee (SITDRAC). He holds an MSc in Operational Research & Management Studies from the Imperial College of London and a BSc (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Manchester, UK.

Research Interest

My research interests lie in the intersection of graph theory, algorithms, logic and computational models. Recently my research mainly focuses on applications of these fields to computational social sciences, social network anlaysis and multi-agent systems.
