Biography
· Dr Daniel Yeo is a cardiologist practising at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He specialises in echocardiography (ultrasound test that creates images of the heart), treatment of heart failure and other cardiac diseases. · Dr Yeo completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Western Australia in 1999. After his training in internal medicine, he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom in 2004. He then received advanced specialty training in cardiology in 2007 and was elected a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2008. · Thereafter, Dr Yeo was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Health, Singapore to complete a yearlong fellowship in heart failure and cardiac transplantation at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA in 2009. In 2012, he obtained a diploma for the Examination of Special Competence in Adult Echocardiography (ASCeXAM) from the National Board of Echocardiology, USA. He was subsequently elected a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK in 2011 and fellow of the American College of Cardiology in 2013. · Dr Yeo formerly led the heart failure service at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) from 2008 – 2014. He was also the director of the heart failure disease management programme at the National Healthcare Group from 2011 – 2014. Aside from clinical work, Dr Yeo is currently a clinical senior lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
