Biography
jason Wong has been appointed Chief Operations Officer effective July 2016. Mr Wong is responsible for the global marine operations, Europe and Latin America region including operational processes, cost controls and vessel operations. Prior to his current role, Mr Wong held the position of the Chief Procurement Officer from January 2014 and was responsible for the global sourcing and procurement of equipment and fuel, as well as managing spend for vessel, terminal, inland transport and depots and feeder operations. Mr Wong was formerly President, South Asia from July 2012, and Vice President for APL’s Intra-Asia, Middle East and Australia trade from May 2006. Prior to this, he held management positions in equipment management and accounting. Mr Wong has been with the company for more than 25 years. A Chartered Accountant of Singapore, he holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore.
