Biography
thomas Cassuto has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer effective August 2016. He is responsible for the development and implementation of APL’s commercial strategy globally. Before joining APL, Mr Cassuto has been working in CMA CGM for more than 15 years and has held several senior positions within the company. Since 2013, he was the Vice President for Europe and Americas region, and prior to that Managing Director of CMA CGM’s Agency in France. Between 2011 and 2013, Mr Cassuto was based in Barcelona as the General Manager of CMA CGM’s Agency in Spain. He was previously in charge of the company’s West Coast South America Regional Office based in Chile from 2008 to 2011. In 2003, Mr Cassuto was appointed as the Regional Trade Director and he oversaw the Latin America commercial network while based in the US. Mr Cassuto graduated from NEOMA Business School in 2000.
