Biography

 ·         Graduated from University of Singapore with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in1970. ·         Obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1974. ·         Admitted as Fellow Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1977 ·         Accepted as Fellow of the American College of Cardiology in 1984. ·         Accepted as Member of Society of Thoracic Surgeons in 1988 Awarded World Health Organisation Fellowship 1977 as a Fellow in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA. ·         Appointed Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon in 1980 by Ministry of Health, Singapore. ·         Started private practice in May 1981 as a specialist group in Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Singapore
