Biography
Dennis Maier joined CryoLife in July 2017 as the Vice President of Kennesaw Operations. Mr. Maier has more than 15 years in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Cryolife, he served as the Senior Director of Baxter Healthcare’s direct material global purchasing and supplier management team. Prior to that he served as the VP of Global Sourcing for Hill-Rom where he led several cost savings initiatives and helped integrate several acquisitions. Prior to that he spent five years with Medtronic leading several Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management (CRDM) manufacturing operations as well as serving as the Director of CRDM Global Commodity management. Before that, Mr. Maier spent 8 years with Abbott Vascular and Boston Scientific (both former Guidant Corporation businesses) in a variety of manufacturing, sourcing, and quality control roles to include managing the Xience V catheter manufacturing operation in Temecula, CA, the Coronary Implants operation in Clonmel, Ireland and Boston Scientific’s Contract manufacturing group in St. Paul, MN. Prior to entering the medical device industry, Mr. Maier worked briefly for Ford Motor Company and served six years as an Officer in the U.S Army. Mr. Maier received an MBA from the Krannert Graduate School of Management from Purdue University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S Military Academy at West Point.
