Biography
William F. Northrup III, MD is Vice President of Physician Relations and Education. Prior to joining the company in 2008, he spent nearly three decades in clinical practice in Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota primarily focused on heart valve and aortic root reconstruction. At CryoLife, he has expanded the use of biological simulators to provide high level education in aortic valve and root anatomy and surgery and dialysis access surgery through Aortic Allograft Workshops, Ross Summits, Central Vein Pathology Summits and focused Aortic Valve and Root Boot Camps specifically for cardiac surgical residents. He has accepted faculty invitations for lectures and workshops at numerous academic institutions and professional societies. Dr. Northrup received his MD from the University of Southern California and his General and Thoracic Surgical Residency training at the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery, American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, Heart Valve Society and the Vascular Access Society of the Americas.
