Chan Yuin Chew

Biography

Dr Chan was formerly the Chief of the Paediatric Dermatology Unit and a dermatologic surgeon in the Dermatologic and Laser Surgery Unit at the National Skin Centre, Singapore.  He was a clinical teacher for the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Dr Chan graduated from the School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 1993. He completed his Internal Medicine training in Singapore General Hospital and Advanced Specialist Training in Dermatology at the National Skin Centre. He completed his paediatric dermatology fellowship at Children's Hospital, San Diego, and University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, USA on a scholarship from the Ministry of Health in 2003. Beside his clinical work, Dr Chan has published 28 scientific papers in peer-reviewed medical journals, contributed chapters to several dermatology textbooks, co-edited the "Textbook of Laser and Light Dermatology in Asian Skin" and was part of the teaching faculty at several regional dermatology congresses.
