Biography
Dr Gordon Tan Wee Teck graduated with the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1980. As an undergraduate, he obtained distinctions in biochemistry and microbiology and was awarded the Beecham book prize in microbiology in 1978. Dr Gordon Tan sat for his post-graduate medical examinations in 1985. In the Master of Medicine (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) examinations, he was awarded the Fourth Asean Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Gold Medal. After his higher degree, Dr Gordon Tan had a short attachment with the Royal Northern and Islington Hospitals in London. He was admitted as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London in 1986. In 1989, he was made a member of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Gordon Tan has been in clinical practice since graduation and is currently a obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore.
