Biography

 Sumit Jamuar is the Chairman & CEO of Global Gene Corp. Mr. Jamuar brings rich expertise in creating, transforming and turning around businesses and is responsible for driving the long-term strategy, partnerships and overall vision at Global Gene Corp.Previously, he has held several senior leadership positions in start-ups, global client coverage, strategy & transformation and a turnaround unit in an FTSE 100 company in London. Mr. Jamuar has also served as a Consultant with McKinsey & Company, India.Earlier in his career, Mr. Jamuar served as Managing Director & Global Head in the Financial Institutions team at Lloyds Corporate Bank, London where he was responsible for the global business looking after banks, fund managers, insurance companies, group subsidiaries, relevant public entities and specialist finance. He has been an Advisor to GEMS Education, the award winning K-12 private education provider, for their expansion in Africa.Mr. Jamuar serves as the Co-Chair of the United Nations ITU - Gates foundation initiative for financial inclusion.Mr. Jamuar holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, London.
