Biography
Professor Murray is Dean of Medicine at James Cook University. In 2000, JCU founded the first new Australian medical school for 25 years and the first to be entirely regionally located and with an emphasis on tropical, rural and Indigenous health. Professor Murray is also President of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine – a medical College committed to expansive generalist medical practice. He is immediate past Chair of the Federation of Rural Medical Educators, the peak body for the distributed network of Rural Clinical Schools across Australia.Professor Murray is Dean of Medicine at James Cook University.
