Helena Shen

Biography

Helena Shen is Head of Human Resources, for Janssen Asia Pacific, where she provides strategic Human Resources support for the region. She is a member of the Janssen Asia Pacific Leadership Team, the Asia Pacific HR Leadership Team and the Global Human Resources Council for Janssen. Prior to this role, Helena was Head of Human Resources for Supply Chain, Asia Pacific. In this role, she strengthened collaboration of Supply Chain Leadership Councils and established a consistent approach to developing management trainees through introduction of the “Shining Asia Early Talent Program”. As a strong advocate of gender equality, she worked with business leaders and country HR teams to increase female representation, especially in the manufacturing and engineering functions. Before joining Johnson & Johnson in 2015, Helena held various HR roles in different industries, including companies such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, BP, and Royal Dutch Shell. Her career includes strong experience in a mixture of regional and global leadership roles, based in China, Europe, UK and most recently in Singapore. Helena holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric Engineering, China, and a Management Diploma from Henley Business School. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
